In order to achieve the legally binding emissions reductions targets by 2020, the government has set a number financial incentive schemes to drive the installation process forward.
For businesses, these incentives take the form of 0% interest free loans repayable over a period of up to 4 years.
The loan values can range between £3000 - £100000.

Who can apply ?

• Private sector company.
• Trading history of 12 months.
• Small & medium sized enterprises
  • Less than 250 full time employees.
  • Turnover of less than £43m.
  • Larger businesses can apply if they do not qualify for the CRC scheme.
• Trading history of 12 months.

What are the potential benefits ?

• Interest free loans are available for between £3000 and £100000 interest free.
• Anticipated energy savings offset the loan repayments. Solar panels can pay for themselves and you benefit year on year thereafter.
• Loans are funded by the government and unsecured
• No arrangement fees
• Loans can be repaid over 4 years.

So to summarise, if your business has the potential for solar panel energy saving technology, you may qualify for, and be able to benefit from, installations paid for by government loans which are repaid through subsequent energy cost savings. After 4 years, the savings go straight onto the bottom line.
